Last Supper
Last Supper
Headlands Center for the Arts / Sausalito, CA
To celebrate the last dinner of the residency year, Headlands Center for the Arts hosted a meal I led for all artists, staff, and community members from the year in the historic Mess Hall. This is a very convivial and celebratory meal, a reunion of sorts, for the community. All the food served was intentionally interactive, from the family meal format, where guests would pass the food from one another, to the oyster shucking station, in order to eat the oysters the guest had to either shuck oysters themselves, learn from another guest or be gifted one. Above pictured are naturally leavened breads developed specifically for this event, using ancient grains Senatore Cappelli and Frassinetto grains grown locally by Full Belly Farm and milled in house.
